Another magnificent tourist attraction in Muszyna
Muszyna is one of the most frequently visited towns in the Sądecczyzna region. The list of interesting attractions is constantly growing
—there is so much to see and do! Recently, another must-see attraction has appeared. Furthermore, it should definitely be included as a stop during your trip to Muszyna or Krynica!
The Municipality of Muszyna is not slowing down
The dynamic development of Muszyna is clearly visible. For several years, significant investments have been made here, which greatly pleases us. The Sensory Gardens and Magical Gardens in Muszyna, as well as the reconstructed "Baszta" castle, are major tourist draws that attract a large number of visitors. But that’s not the end of the investments in this region. Right now, on Malnik Hill, something special awaits you.
One of the best panoramas of the Poprad Valley—from above Muszyna!
Across the Sądecki Beskids, there have been more and more observation towers appearing over the last few years. Muszyna couldn’t be left without one. Following the partially rebuilt "Baszta" castle, this is a new attraction in the region. The wooden tower stands at 42 meters high, offering extraordinary views. The attraction is now open to visitors. From it, you can admire panoramas of the Slovakian Tatras, Jaworzyna, the observation tower on Radziejowa, the peak of the Pieniny, and Wysoka.
Malnik Hill: A Place for a Hike
Malnik Hill rises to a height of 726 meters in the western part of the Leluchowskie Mountains in Muszyna. This place offers excellent scenic views. Malnik can serve as a great spot for a shorter, direct hike to the top, or an inspiration for longer journeys in the area. The yellow tourist trail runs along Malnik’s ridge from Muszyna to Dubne (904 meters above sea level) and continues through Wojkowa to Muszynka, offering explorers a closer look at the Leluchowskie Mountains and the blue trail, where a fascinating natural monument, “Staw Czarnej Młaki,” awaits explorers.
Malnik is also one of the fantastic places to watch sunrises and sunsets. It’s a magical moment for residents, tourists, and photographers. In fact, look below to see the sunset we managed to capture. Something incredible! You can reach the summit on foot during a short mountain hike from Ogrodowa Street, specifically via the yellow trail or by road. It’s a very pleasant trail, perfect for beginners, as the route is not wooded, with clearings along the way offering beautiful mountain landscapes.
This is not the end of Investments on Malnik 🏞️
There are also plans by the Muszyna authorities to build a gondola lift, which will make it easier for travelers to reach the summit of Malnik Hill. If everything goes according to plan, construction work may begin next year. We hope we've encouraged you to visit this charming municipality and see, among other things, the new attraction in the region.
